Peak Volumes is a second-hand bookshop, based in the village of Tideswell, in the heart of the Peak District. We sell all kinds of books, with a good range of fiction, detective fiction, science fiction and fantasy. We also have books to cover most other areas of interest, with particularly extensive transport, political biography, history and travel literature (some guides) sections. Please, come and browse; you will receive a warm welcome.

As well as our books, we also sell cards, gift wrap and a few gifts.

Peak Volumes was founded by Tim Dudley, (originally as Tomes of Buxton) and moved to Tideswell in the early 2010’s. It has now moved from its original home in Madeira House, 100 metres up the road to Guildhall, Bank Square, Tideswell SK17 8NT. The building was originally a bank and has high ceilings and some lovely woodwork.

As well as selling books in our shop, we also have a growing collection online, which we try to increase every day.

         We are normally open Thursday – Sunday inclusive from 1030 – 1700
